  The Bible and Winning
What does it mean to win? In the world, winning is to do such things as pay your debts, make sales, make a profit, have cash and leasure time, achieve your goals and have a happy life.

However, it seems the bible has somewhat different criteria for winning. Those things that bring one closer to God are counted as a win by Paul, and are the opposite of those things above, such as cash and a happy life. Suffering great losses can be counted as wins, according to Paul.

Other biblical wins include gaining understanding and wisdom, doing Gods work and saving others. Noticably these have little to do with the self. In winning the biblical interpretation is so different to the worlds accepted view.
