By the way, this was a very interesting news article about the urban heat island in Melbourne in the Age:

A meteorologist at the bureau, Harvey Stern, said that Melbourne suffered from a heat island effect, in which a city is warmer than the surrounding countryside.

This was the case especially at night, because of heat stored in bricks and concrete and trapped between close-packed buildings.

It certainly seems to be all falling apart as the days go by — although it seems certain that a majority of specialists really do believe in it.

The big question is, for those of us in Australia, who the hell are we going to vote for?

The next election is going to be fought over a response to the climate change crisis!
